Deborah J Dybowski
Deborah Dybowski spent ten years as a legal secretary before she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with her teaching credential and then became a primary teacher in the public school system.
She taught kindergarten, first and second grade classes. Her favorite grade was kindergarten because she enjoyed teaching the children reading and how to write stories. Watching their growth from the beginning to the end of the year was a joy!
During her teaching years, she worked on earning her Masters in Language Development and then went on to become a Reading Recovery teacher. She believed it was the Reading Recovery Program that was the teaching tool all teachers need to know to be good reading teachers.
Since she retired, she has had the time to start writing. She now writes poems and short stories. She has had several poems and children’s short stories published in online publications.
On Falcon’s Wings is her first book. She is delighted to say her grandson, Andrew, is her illustrator. And, he is on his way this fall to Oxford, England to work on his Masters in Environmental Studies.
